Talent Acquisition Specialist (6-Month Contract)
The Software Practice Pte LtdJob Description
We're a Singapore-based software consulting firm looking for an adaptable and driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to join us on a 6-month contract, partnering with different teams across our growing company. Your main focus will be managing the talent pipeline for future hires in Indonesia and Singapore, with some support to broader HR functions.
We believe in providing our team with continuous learning opportunities, encouraging professional development, and fostering an environment that values autonomy. You should be able to learn quickly and work independently. We'll help you as best we can, but you must be tenacious and resourceful enough to figure out things you don't know how to do.
Responsibilities
- Work with the leadership team to understand and execute talent acquisition and retention strategy based on the needs of different business units. You'll build and manage talent pipelines (particularly for tech-related roles) across Indonesia and Singapore.
- Manage the talent acquisition process for different roles across Indonesia and Singapore (including job posting, screening, interviewing, and taking applicants through the hiring process).
- Partner with top engineering universities for hiring interns and fresh graduates, and implement strategies to attract talent (e.g. hackathons, university career fairs).
- Perform headhunting to recruit talent for technical positions.
- Track and report on recruitment metrics (e.g. pipeline conversion, sourcing channel effectiveness, candidate feedback) and use that data to inform hiring decisions.
- Provide ad hoc support to broader HR functions (e.g. onboarding, offboarding, employee engagement).
- Articulate and market our company values to potential employees.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Science, Human Resource Management, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a talent acquisition or HR Generalist role (strong in recruitment).
- Experience in headhunting using LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Comfortable working with data, able to pull, analyze, and report on recruitment metrics to support decision-making (e.g. spreadsheets, ATS dashboards, or BI tools).
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking System (ATS) software.
- Experience in start-ups or tech companies, i.e. hiring for tech roles, is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
We're looking for someone who thrives on end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, screening, and closing candidates, especially for technical roles, and who's comfortable using data and ATS reporting to sharpen how we hire. If that's you, we'd love to hear from you.
We seek your understanding that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
