Role Summary
- The Rare Disease (RD) Key Account Manager Regional Director (KAM RD)is responsible forleading and coaching the Rare Disease Key Account Management Regional team, with a key focus on executing a patient first approach whileimpactingaligned market and brand goals.
- As the most senior Account Management role in the field, the RD KAM RD will impact goal progression by utilizing local knowledge and leadership skills to coach their KADdirect reports to develop and execute against strategic account plans that are mutually aligned to both Pfizer and the customer.
- KAM RDs will also compliantly provide and coach their KADs to provide cross-functional leadership with account and customer information to enable collaborative communications that support aligned business imperatives across theappropriate rolesaligned to the Integrated Account Team model.
- This role is also instrumental in working with the RD KAM LT and cross-functional internal stakeholders across field medical, marketing, sales,HIT,and patient solutions to ensure compliant strategic customer-facing colleague alignment.
- KAM RDwillprovide leadership of various KAM Advisory or IPT (Integrated Product Team).

Role Responsibilities
- Provide the day-to-day leadership and management of Account Management colleagues, including alignment to brand/market goals, KPIs, and performance management.
- Take fullaccountabilityfor all personnel issues and act as thefinal pointof escalation for all Account Management roles in the region, coordinating with the KAM National Lead when needed.
- Lead the consistent execution of business and account priorities within the region with a focus on long- and short-term mutual value opportunities identified with prioritized accounts and aligned with market and brand goals, as well as company and Rare Disease Key Account Management vision.
- Lead Account Management roles to execute whileleveragingthe full account team model and Account/Customer engagement strategies to drive business performance.
- Deliver documentedcompetency-based coaching to support skill excellence andoptimaldevelopment across the KAM team.
- Manage the various budgets for the assigned region.
- Maintain required technical, environmental, and Account Managementexpertiseto respond accurately and compliantly to all questionsregardingproducts, policies, and business-related issues from customers and account management colleagues.
- Recruit and select candidates for Account Management positions in compliance with Pfizer requirements,utilizingapproved hiring materials.
- Work with cross-functional partners to develop therapeutic area goals, strategies, and tactics for the KAM organization.
- Lead special projects as needed to support key accountmanagementexecutional excellence withinthe RareDisease BU and broader Pfizer.
Qualifications / Requirements
- BA/BS degreerequiredwith 12+ years ofpreviouspharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience.
- Experience in Account Management/Key Account Management with at least three years spent in a promoted position withdemonstratedleadership of teams.
- Previousleadership/supervisory experience and ability to develop and motivateothers,lead through change, anddeliver onbusiness imperativesrequired.
- Proventrack recordof performance and meeting organizational goals.
- Experience managing diverse teams of colleagues with different grades and responsibilities.
- Proven ability to manage performance and develop talent.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical business and the environmental and business trendsimpactingthe pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to analyze and drawappropriate conclusionsusing approved Account Management metrics and measurements.
- Strong communicationskills,includingthe ability to think and communicate with the audience’s needs first.
- Excellent facilitation skills.
- Strong project management skills.

Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel, or Environment Requirements
- Up to 40%travelrequiredfor this role.
- Travel includes overnight travel for internal meetings, external customer meetings, and conferences.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $230,900.00 to $384,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
