📋 Description

• Accurately code and abstract outpatient medical records according to assigned workloads
• Perform accurate coding and abstraction of complex outpatient surgery procedures, applying
• Assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and CPT-4 procedure codes in accordance with national standards
• Review medical records carefully to ensure coding and abstraction accurately reflect documented

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information is required; candidates with CCS
• Current certification as a Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), Registered Health
• At least two years of previous coding experience using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding systems, ideally
• Demonstrated ability to accurately code complex outpatient procedures while meeting established
• Strong knowledge of national coding standards, departmental guidelines, and professional coding
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret clinical documentation accurately.
