📋 Description
- Own mortality assumptions and other actuarial inputs supporting product development, pricing
- Lead the development, maintenance, and refinement of expected mortality models, assumption
- Analyze leading indicators—including post-issue audit data and mortality risk scores—to estimate
- Monitor actual-to-expected mortality performance and collaborate with Underwriting and Data Science
- Design and conduct protective value studies to quantify the mortality impact and value of
- Assess how applicant behavior influences expected mortality and the shape of mortality curves.
🎯 Requirements
- FSA designation or near-FSA status preferred; experienced ASA candidates may also be considered.
- At least 5 years of experience in life insurance actuarial roles, with meaningful exposure to
- Strong experience translating third-party data, post-issue audits, mortality risk scores, and other
- Demonstrated experience setting actuarial assumptions for life insurance pricing, forecasting, or
- Strong understanding of mortality modeling, experience analysis, underwriting impacts, and life
- Proven ability to work effectively with Finance, Product, Underwriting, and Data Science teams
🎁 Benefits
- Competitive U.S. base salary range of $150,000–$266,000 for this full-time position.
