Lead Accountant (US Accounting)

📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Monitor and report the daily cash position and maintain a rolling 13-week cash forecast.
• Review expenses, spending, payment requests, and payment lists with strong controls.
• Manage accounts receivable and collections to support cash flow.
• Prepare monthly management reporting with variance analysis and insights.
• Develop and maintain approval matrices, payment procedures, and finance SOPs.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience with U.S.-based companies.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP with real-world reporting experience.
• Experience converting cash-basis to accrual or cleaning GAAP-noncompliant books.
• Proven experience owning the month-end close from start to finish.
• Experience building a cash forecast from scratch to support planning.
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks.
