📋 Description

• Lead initiatives within Elasticsearch to produce an industry-leading search engine offering
• Contribute to Elasticsearch full time, building new search features and fixing bugs, sometimes
• Work with a globally distributed team focused on vector search capabilities and search relevance
• Collaborate with engineers across functions to design and implement components for search
• Own technical design, drive projects end-to-end, and guide cross-team initiatives.
• Operate with autonomy, communicating asynchronously and transparently in a distributed setup.

🎯 Requirements

• Professional experience with search or vector databases; used HNSW, IVF, or related algorithms at
• Strong in core Java, with solid knowledge of standard data structures, concurrency, and Java
• Experience with Elasticsearch search relevance and related storage technologies (e.g.
• Ability to work across distributed teams, take ownership, and drive initiatives from conception to
• Experience designing and leading cross-functional initiatives and owning outcomes.
