📋 Description

• Senior Security Research Engineer for SONAR within Elastic Security
• Reverse engineer malware across Windows, macOS, and Linux; uncover adversary tradecraft
• Work with global data systems to identify and mitigate threats
• Develop protections, signatures, and automation to scale investigations
• Publish research publicly and collaborate across Elastic Security teams
• Mentor researchers and help set the team’s technical direction

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in malware reverse engineering and threat research
• Python development for tooling; reading C/C++ (Rust/Go/NodeJS exposure helpful)
• YARA authorship and large-scale hunting
• Strong fundamentals in Windows/Linux internals, networking (HTTP/TLS), and cryptography
• Technical writing ability; experience using AI to accelerate development
• Proven ability to switch between projects and collaborate across teams
