📋 Description
- Own the enterprise Linux platform roadmap, including OS lifecycle, patching, standardization, tech
- Define and maintain engineering standards, platform build patterns, operational practices, and
- Design and implement scalable, resilient Linux solutions across on-premises and cloud.
- Act as technical authority for compute, virtualization, storage integration, and core Linux
- Lead architecture discussions, design reviews, and key engineering decisions.
- Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and Python.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7–10+ years of Linux platform engineering/operations in enterprise settings (8–10 years preferred).
- Deep expertise in SUSE Linux, RHEL, or equivalent, at large scale.
- Proficiency with Bash and Python; Perl a plus.
- Experience designing/operating automation and IaC using Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, etc.
- Strong virtualization experience (VMware vSphere or equivalent).
