Linux Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the enterprise Linux platform roadmap, including OS lifecycle, patching, standardization, tech
• Define and maintain engineering standards, platform build patterns, operational practices, and
• Design and implement scalable, resilient Linux solutions across on-premises and cloud.
• Act as technical authority for compute, virtualization, storage integration, and core Linux
• Lead architecture discussions, design reviews, and key engineering decisions.
• Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and Python.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10+ years of Linux platform engineering/operations in enterprise settings (8–10 years preferred).
• Deep expertise in SUSE Linux, RHEL, or equivalent, at large scale.
• Proficiency with Bash and Python; Perl a plus.
• Experience designing/operating automation and IaC using Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, etc.
• Strong virtualization experience (VMware vSphere or equivalent).
