- Shape the future of AI for data engineering—build intelligent data systems across organizations.
- Design and engineer the brain of Astronomer’s context layer for data modeling, semantic search, and
- Push the boundaries of applied AI with LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval techniques for developer
- Turn research into product—collaborate with R&D and product teams to bring AI concepts to life.
- Solve high-impact information retrieval and search challenges at a global scale.
- Influence the technical vision and architecture of next-gen AI-driven data products.
🎯 Requirements
- 5-8 years of software engineering experience with Python or Go
- Empathy for users and desire to improve data professionals’ workflows
- Comfort with ambiguity in early-stage product development
- Experience with LLMs, vector databases, embeddings, or other applied AI areas
- Creative, experimental mindset and willingness to iterate
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to explain complex systems
