Senior Employment Counsel

📋 Description

• Provide day-to-day legal advice on employment law matters, including accommodations
• Advise HR and Retail teams on wage and hour compliance, including timekeeping, overtime, meal and
• Revise and update company-wide employment policies, agreements, notices and communications to
• Partner with HR, Payroll, and People Operations teams to ensure compliant implementation of
• Monitor changes in North America and employment laws in Europe, with a focus on key retail markets.
• Support the drafting and implementation of international policies and employment contracts.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from a top tier law school.
• Active bar membership in California.
• 6-10 years of experience in employment law at a top law firm and/or company.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal wage and hour laws across several jurisdictions.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian employment laws, with working knowledge of differences across
