Bioinformatics Production Engineer

📋 Description

• Perform basic data analysis to support Horizon Carrier Screening and platform sequencing tests.
• Participate in production pipeline improvements and ensure high-quality outputs.
• Troubleshoot data quality, analysis pipelines, and system integration issues.
• Collaborate with biology, software engineering, lab operations, and medical/legal teams.
• Document study plans and technical reports.
• Handle PHI data in accordance with privacy technologies and protocols.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Knowledge of sequencing assays and genomics, and familiarity with NGS analyses (mapping, variant
• Experience using Python for data analysis and plotting; Linux CLI and SQL knowledge.
• Experience with pipeline platforms/languages (WDL, Nextflow) and familiarity with LLMs to optimize
• Strong written communication for validation reports and cross-functional collaboration.
