Staff Software Engineer - Order Handling and Ledger Team

📋 Description

• Design, build, and own the backend systems behind our order handling, ledger, and settlement flows
• Lead technical work across the team, mentoring junior engineers and delivering solutions at scale
• Partner with product to scope features and oversee execution with cross-functional teams
• Deliver concise, thoughtful code reviews focused on design, correctness, and performance
• Monitor production issues and drive fast, reliable resolutions
• Balance long-term goals with short-term needs to maintain a robust backend platform

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering; strong technical leadership background
• Deep backend expertise with idempotency, transactions, concurrency control, and reliable
• Mastery of at least one programming language and stack (Ruby preferred; others with strong
• Experience with Ruby, PostgreSQL, and RabbitMQ or equivalent tech stack
• Ability to design and maintain large-scale, highly available systems
• Strong written/verbal communication and ability to distill complex topics for stakeholders
