Head of Data Center Design

📋 Description

• Own the overall technical design, architecture, and engineering vision for large-scale data center
• Define and maintain Basis of Design, covering modular POD architecture, cooling strategy, power
• Establish design standards for IT deployment, including rack layouts, containerization, and CDU
• Lead multidisciplinary design reviews and approve engineering drawings across electrical
• Monitor design-stage targets for PUE, capacity, availability, redundancy, and reliability.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, technology providers, and engineering partners on

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in data center design or critical infrastructure; direct data center experience valued but
• Ownership of Basis of Design documentation for large-scale facilities.
• At least 3 years in design leadership or technical leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution/topology and cooling strategies; working knowledge of fire
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design reviews and reviewing/approving drawings across trades.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into clear design standards and execution plans.
