📋 Description
- Drive system architecture for a visible-camera and IR navigation sensor
- Lead optical design, analysis, validation of free-space optics
- Define requirements for high-performance optical/IR sensors
- Lead trades across optical, IR, mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing
- Develop hardware for high-rate manufacturing and testing tools
- Mentor engineers; set technical direction for the team
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s in optical engineering, physics or related
- 5+ years optics/photonics/imaging/IR sensing experience
- 5+ years programming in C++, MATLAB, and/or Python
- Preferred: Master/PhD; Zemax experience; optics test equipment know-how
- Experience with cameras, IR detectors, and optical testing
- Python scripting and Linux proficiency
