Head of Data Center Design

📋 Description

• Own the overall technical design, architecture, and engineering vision for large-scale data center
• Define Basis of Design covering modular POD architecture, cooling, power topology, fire
• Establish design standards for IT deployment (rack layouts, containerization, CDU)
• Lead multidisciplinary design reviews and approve drawings across electrical, mechanical
• Establish design-stage targets for PUE, capacity, availability, redundancy, and reliability
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, technology providers, and engineering partners on specs

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in data center design or critical infrastructure
• Ownership of Basis of Design documentation for large-scale facilities
• At least 3 years in a design or technical leadership role
• Strong knowledge of power distribution/topology and cooling strategies
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design reviews
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication
