📋 Description

• Identify satellite technologies of strategic interest to the business; vet these ideas with senior
• Source R&D funds for your portfolio with Sales/BD and Customer Program Managers; write
• Drive technical execution on funded programs; assess impact and feasibility; evangelize ideas or
• Ensure timely transition of validated prototypes into BlackSky operational architecture with
• Mentor other engineers to share knowledge of exciting technologies and capabilities.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
• Extensive experience as a systems engineer developing space systems (12+ years).
• Direct work experience on multiple (5+) flight programs to develop space hardware.
• Direct work experience as a tech lead on multiple (5+) space hardware development efforts.
• Experience across multiple engineering disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, and software
• Multiple (5+) experiences successfully capturing government contracts and working with US
