- Own end-to-end simulation, co-design, and lab verification of photonic-electronic links in Passage
- Build high-fidelity simulation infrastructure linking optical device performance to system BER and
- Drive co-design between photonic and analog circuit teams; iterate simulation vs. lab measurement
- Architect for photonic-electronic integration quality and teach design-entry criteria for photonic
- Lead architecture decisions and provide actionable spec tightening for device and circuit teams.

🎯 Requirements
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Physics, or related photonics/optics; or MS + 8
- Deep expertise in photonic device physics and system-level optical link design (silicon photonics
- Hands-on photonic simulation experience: VPI Photonics, Lumerical FDTD/INTERCONNECT, or equivalent.
- Experience with analog/mixed-signal simulation: Cadence Virtuoso/Spectre, Verilog-A, or Keysight
- Proven ability in optical link budgets, corner analyses, and simulation-to-measurement closure.
- Strong lab skills: VNA, optical spectrum analyzers, high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, BER/OMA
