📋 Description
- Lead architecture of offline experimentation tooling and route simulation services
- Build scalable data pipelines for experimentation, analytics, and ML models
- Develop data governance and observability systems for trustworthy data
- Collaborate with Engineering/Data Science/Product to impact Lyft’s routing and growth
- Own core data pipelines end-to-end and define SLAs for reliability at scale
- Mentor teammates and promote engineering best practices
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math/Stats or related field
- 5+ years in backend or data engineering with large-scale distributed systems
- Strong experience with Spark and scripting (Python, Ruby, Bash)
- Experience with distributed storage/streaming tech (Clickhouse, Hive, Presto, Delta, Iceberg, Kafka)
- Strong SQL skills with performance tuning for high-volume events data
- Hands-on data quality tooling (dbt, Great Expectations, Monte Carlo)
