Job Description
📋 Description
- Design, develop, and verify robotic surgical instruments and interfaces
- Design components for machining and injection molding
- Own complex assemblies and coordinate with hardware/software teams
- Develop test methods, fixtures, and measurement tools
- Hands-on assembly/testing for proof of concept, development, pre-clinical, and V&V
- Apply DFX: design for manufacturing, usability, reliability
🎯 Requirements
- BS/MS in Mechanical Eng, Materials Science, or related field; or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8 years in medical device development; experience with flexible devices a plus
- Strong mechanical intuition and root-cause problem solving from first principles
- Expertise in machining and injection molding for medical devices; other methods a plus
- Tolerance analysis and GD&T; DoEs and statistical analysis a strong plus
- CAD proficiency; SolidWorks preferred; PLM/documentation experience
