Staff Software Engineer, Storage Services

📋 Description

• Provide technical guidance to a high-performing storage team.
• Lead the architecture and design of online storage services at scale.
• Modernize the storage stack, including TiDB backend transitions.
• Improve query throughput and latency for 100TB+ data and 1.5M+ queries/sec.
• Use AI to accelerate design decisions and automate ops tasks.
• Participate in on-call rotation and drive reliable incident reviews.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field or equivalent.
• 8+ years in backend software engineering for large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with core infrastructure at scale (storage, databases, data platforms).
• Hands-on with highly available systems, incident response, capacity planning, and performance
• Expertise in distributed SQL/NoSQL or graph data stores; TiDB experience a plus.
• Strong technical leadership, roadmap setting, and cross-team collaboration.
