Staff Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead large technical deliverables from idea through delivery across months/quarters.
• Design and develop backend systems for vulnerability and dependency management, incl. ingestion
• Build and improve systems using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL; contribute to newer services with Go
• Shape technical plans, break down complex work, help engineers deliver effectively.
• Collaborate with product, design, frontend, and engineering partners to make decisions and deliver
• Influence the team’s product and technical roadmap through hands-on investigation and iterative

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leading complex backend projects end-to-end while staying hands-on.
• Strong PostgreSQL experience with query optimization, table optimization, and WAL management in
• Professional experience with Ruby on Rails, Go, or Python; comfortable with Ruby on Rails
• Experience shaping delivery plans, guiding technical decisions, and supporting other engineers.
• Clear ability to collaborate with partners and explain technical trade-offs.
• Experience communicating with leaders and driving complex delivery forward.
