Staff Chassis Systems Design Engineer

📋 Description

• Design and develop vehicle chassis systems and components from concept through production.
• Support definition of requirements into detailed designs meeting targets.
• Define load cases, structural paths, and perform static, fatigue, Joints analysis.
• Develop interfaces, tolerances, and packaging per GD&T ASME Y14.5.
• Create and maintain production CAD drawings and specs.
• Select materials and processes for welding, sheet metal, machining, castings, forgings, extrusions.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical/Automotive/Aerospace Eng or related; M.S. preferred.
• 8+ years design experience in automotive or related industries.
• Experience from concept to prototype and production release.
• Strong fundamentals in loads, load paths, stress, fatigue, joints, suspension, braking.
• 3D CAD and drawings; CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE preferred.
• GD&T, tolerance analysis, design for manufacturing/assembly.
