Principal Research Scientist I, Depression Discovery

📋 Description

• Develop strategy and oversee implementation of internal models used for depression drug
• Identify and solve technical problems, implement new assays and workflows, and pursue innovative
• Supervise junior scientists, providing leadership in experimental design and execution.
• Serve as biology lead for current or future drug discovery projects and coordinate cross-functional
• Present original work internally and at conferences; may author papers or patents.
• Ensure consistency and quality of technical reports.

🎯 Requirements

• MS or PhD in Neuroscience, Biological Sciences, Pharmacology, or related field with typically 14+
• Strong background in psychiatry research and drug development, especially depression.
• Proven track record in progressing projects through preclinical discovery into early development.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and managing direct reports with performance
• Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Preferred: experience in psychedelic research and iPSC-based in vitro depression models.
