📋 Description
- Lead generation interconnection studies within WECC footprint
- Evaluate grid capacity and impacts for interconnection strategies
- Support interconnection projects via modeling, due diligence, analysis
- Develop and validate PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD models for renewables
- Conduct specialized studies as needed (sub-synchronous resonance, protection, arc flash, transient
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to communicate findings
🎯 Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Power Systems Engineer or closely related role
- Experience with generation interconnection or power system studies preferred
- Practical experience developing/validating models using PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD
- Knowledge of solar PV, battery energy storage, wind generation
- Understanding of grid capacity, interconnection processes, modeling principles
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
