- Produce original, insightful, engaging content on general aviation safety across formats.
- Write monthly safety articles for aviation magazines with accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide editorial support for leadership on public-facing safety topics.
- Generate story ideas from flying experience and industry knowledge.
- Apply strong news judgment to select angles and allocate resources.
- Manage content release calendars and cross-channel distribution.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5–10 years in aviation writing/editing with a strong portfolio.
- FAA Private Pilot Certificate with instrument rating required.
- Strong aviation knowledge and safety topic understanding.
- Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead projects, mentor contributors, and drive content approaches.
