Senior Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Own parts of the CLI workspace runtime that backs surfaces, migrate users off legacy IDE, enable
• Design and build agent-facing experiences: streaming responses, tool calls, diff review, charting
• Extend dbt into other developer surfaces—MCP integrations enabling dbt projects from AI clients
• Lead well-scoped projects end to end: plan, partner with design/product, ship in two-week sprints
• Share on-call support for surfaces and mentor engineers earlier in their careers.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building production software with senior ownership of multi-person projects.
• Deep Python experience plus exposure to TypeScript and React; move across the stack without
• Built/maintained developer-facing tools: IDE/editor extension/CLI/SDK/LSP server/data tool.
• Comfort with APIs, Kubernetes, Postgres, observability; ownership when things break.
• Strong written communication; ability to argue technically in documents and align stakeholders.
• Experience working asynchronously on a fully-remote, distributed team.
