📋 Description
- Design and drive Fuse's government affairs strategy across lines and fiscal years.
- Plan and execute campaigns across defense, energy & water authorizations and appropriations.
- Represent Fuse before Members of Congress and staff, and senior officials.
- Build relationships inside the Pentagon and other agencies to shape programs and budgets.
- Direct outside lobbyists and consultants; set priorities and drive outcomes.
- Coordinate with founders and leadership on policy opportunities and execution.
🎯 Requirements
- Top-tier mindset; accountable for outcomes in ambiguity.
- Strong reputation on the Hill and in the building.
- Experience as congressional staffer on defense/energy committees and startup exposure.
- Record of favorable legislative outcomes or language success.
- Budget fluency across authorization and appropriation cycles.
- Sharp, persuasive communicator; able to engage diverse audiences.
