📋 Description

• Design and typeset 12–20 book projects concurrently, meet publishing schedules and production
• Collaborate with editorial, production, and art direction to develop interiors from concept to
• Create long-form layouts for lifestyle, cookbook, children’s, gift, specialty, and nonfiction
• Translate creative direction into production-ready book interiors.
• Own projects by identifying design/production challenges and ensuring follow-through.
• Manage timelines, communicate progress, and maintain production documentation.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience designing and typesetting book interiors, preferably in publishing.
• Proven experience in long-form book interiors with substantial 4-color production.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field with emphasis on interior book design and typography.
• Expert Macintosh skills and proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop
• Knowledge of long-document production in InDesign (paragraph/character/object/GREP styles); Master
• Strong typography, proofreading, prepress, and printing knowledge.
