📋 Description
- Set technical vision for Homefeed, Search, and AI Assistant experiences.
- Define long‑term architecture across relevance, retrieval, ranking, and generative AI.
- Lead large‑scale retrieval and ranking system design and deployment.
- Architect integration of LLMs with core discovery stack (query understanding, safety
- Drive experimentation, metrics, offline/online evaluation, and causal inference.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with product, data science, and design teams.
🎯 Requirements
- 15+ years in large‑scale systems or ML with impact in search/recommendations.
- Experience as Principal Engineer/Architect or equivalent.
- Expertise in two or more: large‑scale retrieval/ranking, representation learning, search systems
- Ability to drive multi‑year architectural transformations and partner with PM/Design/DS.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; mentoring senior engineers.
- Bachelor’s in CS or equivalent experience; nice to have consumer discovery product experience.
