• The stack is Go, inside a distributed system. Services run in regulated, high-SLA environments.
• Turn unclear problems into credible multi-quarter plans and shape upcoming work for the team.

🎯 Requirements

• An engineering background with hands-on craft and the ability to earn engineers’ trust.
• At least 4 years managing software engineers as a manager rather than a tech lead.
• Track record delivering product outcomes through a team over multiple quarters.
• Experience launching and operating services at scale in a distributed system.
• Credible technical challenges; you can question designs and push back with substance.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to explain technical topics to non-experts.
