Merchant Onboarding Support Officer

📋 Description

• Review merchant KYC documents per SOPs and regulatory requirements
• Activate merchant accounts with Compliance team
• Resolve tickets from Customer Support teams
• Monitor onboarding via Zendesk, email, WhatsApp, Teams, and Slack
• Understand merchant use cases to provide APIs for integration
• Follow up bi-weekly on integrations and provide support

🎯 Requirements

• Payments & Fintech knowledge; familiarity with Nigeria regulatory environments
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for onboarding failures
• CRM/tool proficiency: Excel/Google Sheets, Zendesk, Email, WhatsApp, Teams, Slack
• Educational background in Fintech, Banking/payments operations, SaaS onboarding, or Compliance/KYC
• Technical: basic to intermediate API understanding, endpoints, webhooks, JSON, reading API docs
• Execution, risk/compliance awareness, cross-functional collaboration
