- Lead arachnid-focused research within the Entomology Department.
- Advance a collections-based program integrating genomics, imaging, and informatics.
- Contribute to Project BEACON and help design its scientific direction.
- Grow the Academy's arachnid collections and type holdings.
- Collaborate across platforms to communicate discoveries to diverse audiences.
- Engage in training and mentorship of students and fellows.
🎯 Requirements
- Ph.D. in Entomology, Arachnology, Systematics, Evolutionary Biology, or related field; postdoc
- Strong experience with natural history collections and modern genomic/informatics methods.
- Peer-reviewed publication record and track record of external funding.
- Ability to communicate scientific work to both expert and lay audiences.
- Collaborative, interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
- Assistant-level qualification with 5+ years of relevant experience
