Job Description
📋 Description
- Provide confidential, single-session, solution-focused counselling to young people via phone and
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans for youth safety
- Exercise independent judgment and escalate when appropriate
- Apply person-centred, strengths-based, non-judgmental counselling
- Communicate with empathy, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity
- Participate in supervision, coaching, and clinical consultations
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Sexology, Child and Youth
- 1–2 years of crisis intervention/counselling experience; practicum/placement relevant
- Strong risk assessment and safety planning skills
- Knowledge of relevant national and provincial youth-at-risk legislation and referral processes
- Excellent English; French proficiency required for bilingual positions
- Ability to work independently with sound judgment and escalation when needed
