- Serve as a subject matter expert and authoritative journalist covering electricity, energy
- Contribute to a daily future-of-energy newsletter and special editions, reporting on solar power
- Identify and pursue major stories, original scoops, and high-impact editorial ideas linking
- Translate complex grid and energy issues into clear, engaging stories for broad audiences.
- Develop a strong public presence by representing the newsroom at conferences, events, panels, and
- Collaborate across editorial and other teams to develop high-quality, timely content and ambitious
🎯 Requirements
- Proven reporting experience in a fast-paced news environment with a track record of timely
- Demonstrated ability to land significant scoops and develop original, ambitious story ideas.
- Strong interest or expertise in electricity, energy markets, power infrastructure, or the broader
- Ability to understand and explain complex topics involving the grid, energy technologies, and their
- Excellent writing skills, especially for digital and newsletter audiences, with clear and concise
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills for live interviews and stages.

- Starting salary range of $100,000–$150,000, depending on location, experience, skills, and other
