📋 Description
- Monitor breaking news, emerging developments, social platforms, and other sources to identify
- Write accurate, concise, quick-turn spot news in response to breaking events.
- Monitor key stories and flag significant developments to reporters, editors, and experts.
- Coordinate coverage with journalists across the newsroom for timely, high-quality reporting.
- Apply editorial judgment to determine which developments warrant immediate attention and activation.
- Produce concise content following the Smart Brevity writing approach.
🎯 Requirements
- Demonstrated experience writing and reporting in a fast-paced news environment.
- Proven ability to monitor developing stories and quickly identify, investigate, and activate on
- Strong written and verbal communication, clear and concise information delivery.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to work with journalists and cross-functional
- Strong organization, urgency, and accountability with prioritization in high-pressure settings.
- Genuine passion for news and awareness of current events and the broader landscape.
