Associate Formulations Scientist

📋 Description

• Prepare prototype formulations for exploratory studies in in-vitro and in-vivo models
• Develop oral, topical and sterile dosage forms for feasibility and small-scale manufacturing
• Measure key properties (solubility, hardness, disintegration, pH, isotonicity, color, gelling)
• Assess chemical/physical stability and perform in-vitro tests (non-sink dissolution, precipitation)
• Identify stability and performance issues with prototype formulations
• Develop protocols for formulation prep at preclinical/clinical study sites

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with drug formulation and pre-formulation techniques
• Experience with amorphous solid dispersions (spray dried dispersions or hot melt extrusion) and
• Basic chemistry lab experience (wet or solid state)
• Experience with lab equipment and mechanical aptitude
• Advanced characterization techniques (Raman, thermal analysis, dissolution)
• Strong computer/organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
