Diesel Mechanic

📋 Description

• Perform complex mechanical truck/trailer service, maintenance, and repairs across makes/models
• Inspect vehicles/trailers per DOT standards and address deficiencies to compliance.
• Check and replace fluids and filters per manufacturer specs and company standards.
• Conduct routine/complex electrical inspections; replace fuses, bulbs, batteries; perform electrical
• Troubleshoot and repair engine, electrical, and wheel/axle systems across all truck/trailer models.
• Document work and coordinate with Supervisor; assist with training and shop operations as needed.

🎯 Requirements

• Valid current Iowa driver’s license.
• Ability to drive all truck types, including manual transmissions.
• 3-5 years diesel truck repair experience preferred; 2 years required.
• Professional appearance and conduct; respectful of colleagues.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs; ability to write a work order.
• Pre-employment drug test required; random drug/alcohol testing may occur.
