Flight Software Engineer II, Space Systems

📋 Description

• Develop embedded flight software for modules from requirements through on-orbit ops.
• Translate mission/payload needs into software interfaces and state machines.
• Integrate software with avionics, GNC, comms, power, and ground software.
• Build and maintain unit, integration, hardware-in-the-loop tests.
• Ensure deterministic behavior, fault tolerance, and robust recovery.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace or
• 3+ years' embedded or flight software experience for spacecraft/defense/robotics.
• Strong C and C++, with real-time/embedded software fundamentals.
• Experience with RTOS and embedded Linux, device drivers, bootloaders, low-level interfaces.
• Experience with CAN, SpaceWire, Ethernet, RS-422/485, SPI, I2C, UART or similar buses.
• Proficient in modern software engineering practices, version control, automated testing, CI/CD.
