Job Description
📋 Description
- Develop, integrate, verify optical payloads for weather observations.
- Translate mission data needs into payload requirements and verification plans.
- Support imaging performance analyses (radiometry, SNR, MTF, image quality).
- Design, characterize, and validate imaging sensors and EO hardware.
- Assess payload performance drivers like aperture, focal length, detector pitch, stray light
- Lifecycle support from design through launch and on-orbit operations.
🎯 Requirements
- 4-7+ years EO/IR, imaging, or electro-optical systems experience.
- Strong imaging fundamentals: radiometry, SNR, MTF, detector behavior.
- Experience with imaging sensors, detectors, optical assemblies, or payload subsystems.
- Knowledge of calibration, validation, and environmental testing for optics.
- Ability to translate goals into clear requirements and verification plans.
- Collaborative with cross-disciplinary teams; proactive ownership.
