Managing Counsel, Product (Payroll experience required)

📋 Description

• Provide end-to-end product legal counsel for payroll and AI-enabled products, including
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Payroll, Privacy, Security, and Commercial Legal teams to
• Advise on product terms and contractual provisions, including data/metadata use, training, IP
• Monitor AI, tech, employment, data protection, and payroll regs across jurisdictions and translate
• Support compliance with EU AI Act, UK AI approaches, US federal/state, Canadian AI legislation
• Partner with Privacy and Security on DPIAs, TIAs, incident response, vendor diligence for AI/LLM

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with substantial tech product advisory experience across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven product counsel in technology, with HR tech, payroll, PEO, EOR, HRIS experience.
• Ability to advise on complex products at scale across jurisdictions.
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML legal/regulatory frameworks (EU/UK/US/Canada).
• Strong understanding of AI regulation, data protection, employment law, payroll compliance.
• Significant payroll compliance experience, ideally across jurisdictions.
