📋 Description
- Provide end-to-end product legal counsel for payroll and AI-enabled products, incl.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Payroll, Privacy, Security, and Commercial Legal teams across
- Advise on product terms and AI-specific provisions: data use, training, IP ownership, acceptable
- Monitor AI, tech, employment, data protection, and payroll regs across jurisdictions; translate
- Support compliance with EU AI Act, UK AI regs, US developments, Canadian AI laws, GDPR, and CCPA.
- Collaborate with Privacy/Security for DPIAs, TIAs, incident response, and vendor diligence for
🎯 Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with substantial tech product advisory experience; multi-jurisdictional is a plus.
- Proven product counsel in technology, with expertise in HR tech, payroll, PEO, EOR, HRIS, or
- Experience advising on complex products at scale across jurisdictions.
- Deep knowledge of AI/ML legal/regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, UK, US, Canada).
- Strong understanding of AI regulation, data protection, employment law, and payroll compliance.
- Significant payroll compliance experience across jurisdictions; in-house tech company a plus.
