Procurement Lead

📋 Description

• Design Baseten's first company-wide procurement process
• Establish policies, thresholds, and bidding requirements
• Build scalable purchasing workflows and vendor relationships
• Define operating model as the function scales
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Security, Compliance, IT
• Serve as trusted advisor on sourcing and vendor selection

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in progressive procurement roles at tech companies
• Experience building procurement processes from scratch
• RFPs, vendor selection, and contract negotiation
• Strategic sourcing across spend categories
• Vendor risk assessments with Security/Legal/Compliance
• Comfort with ambiguity and building structure
