Principal Data Engineer

📋 Description

• Drive technical direction for a significant product domain or platform capability, ensuring
• Design and maintain data pipelines and reporting models that power trusted business metrics and AI
• Use AI-assisted and agentic engineering tools as part of your workflow and help others adopt these
• Reduce systemic complexity by leading architectural debt remediation and strategizing ongoing debt
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to inform long-term roadmap feasibility and provide
• Elevate engineering craft through RFCs, mentorship, and training programs

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on technical leadership and architecture
• Deep understanding of data engineering principles: data modeling, warehousing, reporting, governance
• Strong expertise in SQL, PostgreSQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, BI tools, and analytics platforms
• Practical experience with AI/LLM-adjacent data work (RAG ingestion, embeddings, vector stores, AI
• Working knowledge of modern cloud platforms such as AWS
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with product, engineering, analytics, and business
