Senior Materials Characterization Technician, Machine Shop, Second Shift

📋 Description

• Operate CNC mills and lathes on second shift to produce aerospace components
• Program and edit G-code using CAD/CAM software
• Design and build custom fixtures and follow setup sheets
• Inspect finished parts with precision instruments to verify dimensions
• Maintain and troubleshoot machining equipment and communicate with engineering teams
• Develop standardized workflows and maintain documentation for shop procedures

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on CNC setup/operation experience; wire EDM a plus
• Ability to perform first article inspections and edit programs
• Design/build custom fixturing and adhere to setup sheets
• G-code programming knowledge; read and edit existing programs
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, dial indicators
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T standards
