• Own the Walrus product experience across surfaces and workflows.
• Lead discovery with product and engineering; frame problems before building.
• Bring developers into the design process with interviews and usability tests.
• Design complex technical workflows with data, state, configuration, and high-consequence actions.
• Influence product direction and challenge assumptions when needed.
• Build and maintain Walrus's design system for consistency as the product grows.

🎯 Requirements

• 8-10 years of product design experience with complex technical products.
• Portfolio showing shipped developer tools, cloud/infrastructure products, dashboards, or similar.
• Ability to simplify technical workflows without losing critical control/info for experts.
• Strong interaction-design skills for data-heavy interfaces and high-consequence actions.
• Experience framing product problems independently and influencing roadmaps.
• Proven ability to conduct lightweight user research and usability testing.
