📋 Description
- Own PlanetScale’s video program across stories, launches, events, YouTube, shorts, and more.
- Set creative bar with story, pacing, visuals, sound, and detail.
- Find narrative in technical subjects—shape raw material into watchable content.
- Film on location at customer sites, conferences, and our SF office; handle camera, lighting, audio
- Edit long-form videos, launches, event recaps, social clips with rhythm and structure.
- Own post-production from assembly to delivery: pacing, sound, color, motion graphics.
🎯 Requirements
- Strong portfolio across narrative work, quick-turn edits, social cuts; portfolio matters most.
- Experience filming, directing, and editing projects end-to-end as an individual contributor.
- Proficient in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut (or similar).
- Experience shooting on location with own lighting and audio.
- Motion graphics/animation ability; good judgment for clarity and impact.
- Strong project management: shoots, footage, feedback, deadlines.
