📋 Description
- Own the mechanical direction from requirements to launch vehicle installation
- Collaborate with structural, thermal, electrical teams to meet mission needs
- Work across full lifecycle of electromechanical hardware
- Hybrid role with on-site work in San Jose three days/week
- Develop, build, and test mission specific components and payloads
- Lead mechanical portion of internal/external design reviews
🎯 Requirements
- 8+ years in designing, building, testing high-reliability hardware
- B.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred) for component/assembly design
- Mastery of drawings, GD&T, BOMs, FAIs, tolerances, mass budgets
- Experience with ECO/DCO processes and PLM systems
- Experience leading mechanical design for complex electromechanical systems
