📋 Description
- Perform manual and exploratory testing of an interactive, web-based weather visualization platform.
- Verify radar displays, map layers, storm patterns, and other weather visualizations for accuracy.
- Participate in live testing during tornado outbreaks and significant weather events when required.
- Identify, investigate, document, and clearly communicate bugs and anomalies.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and improve quality/usability.
- Evaluate end-user experience and suggest weather-aware enhancements based on behavior.
🎯 Requirements
- Current student in meteorology, climatology, environmental sciences, or related weather field, or a
- Deep understanding of weather concepts, radar maps, forecasting models, storm tracking, and data
- Regular user of weather apps, visualization tools, or weather data sources.
- Strong curiosity, attention to detail, and ability to identify inconsistencies.
- Clear English communication and documentation skills for describing bugs and observations.
- Comfortable navigating web apps and testing across multiple browsers/devices.
