📋 Description
- Perform manual and exploratory testing of an interactive, web-based weather visualization platform.
- Verify radar displays, map layers, storm patterns, and other data visualizations accurately
- Participate in live testing during tornado outbreaks and significant weather events when required.
- Identify, investigate, document, and communicate bugs, discrepancies, and anomalies.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and improve quality and usability.
- Evaluate the platform from an end-user perspective and suggest weather-informed enhancements.
🎯 Requirements
- Current student in meteorology, climatology, environmental sciences, or another weather-related
- Deep understanding of weather concepts, radar maps, forecasting models, storm tracking, and data
- Regular user of weather applications, visualization tools, or weather data sources.
- Strong curiosity, observation skills, and attention to detail to identify inconsistencies.
- Strong English communication and documentation skills to describe bugs clearly.
- Comfortable navigating web apps and testing across multiple browsers and devices.
