Settlement and Liquidity Officer

📋 Description

• Coordinate end-to-end settlement of funds across major accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Monitor and resolve pending or failed settlements, escalating where necessary
• Ensure correct capture and instruction of trade data into settlement systems
• Collaborate with counterparties, Operations and IT to investigate and resolve settlement failures
• Own end-of-day reconciliations and produce clear, accurate settlement reports
• Monitor and forecast daily cash positions across accounts, identifying risks and opportunities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
• Minimum 2–3 years in settlement operations, treasury or liquidity management
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments and clearing/settlement cycles
• Hands-on familiarity with NIBBS, RTGS, NEFT, switching processes and settlement platforms
• Advanced Excel; experience with treasury systems (Calypso, Finacle or equivalent)
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
